Challenge
Internationalize and re-organize a corporate function within the former Daimler Corporation which operated mainly locally with a broad portfolio and single local responsibilities.
Solution
Accompaining the executive team in their strategic collaboration, preparing a fundament for a new organisational set up combining Center of Comeptencies, Corporate Governance and Regional Hubs as well as a local aggregation of responsibilities.

Challenge
Implementing a new organisational structure for a local and globally relevant core function in Europe which should allow operating more efficiently, focused on single technologies and which enables contributing to the new set of strategic goals.
Solution
Consulting and co-creating an agile change process comprising four phases including a participative approach for defining single functions and roles, processes, steering (communication, cooperation and decision making) and a new collaborative culture as business enabler - over 3.25 years, 160 employees locally and the relevant eco-system, on-site and regional, fully face-to-face.

What makes us unique and what are practical standards when it comes to collaboration - globally, locally, remote or face-to-face.
How long is a usual change process?
A realistic timeline for sustainable change starts from 9 months up to 4 years - depending on your scope and the readiness of your company for change.
Companies who rarely changed deliberately are often characterized by the solid practice and success of organic growth or developement. For others, change is a common routine.
In both extreme cases, the challenge is the effective mobilization of the people involved, including the relevant eco-system internally and externally. Participation is key, takes time and reveals as the number one sucess factor to sustainable change and growth. Including first row leaders.
Can a systemic consultant offer bussiness experience?
Of course, we can. We have been working for clients in various industries and branches, and we have been leaders early in or throughout our carreers.
The clarity of roles, though is crucial. We don't solve your business problems. We listen, share resonance and design a process which leads you and your relevant partners towards solutions - with our specific competence in change, organizational design, leadership, expert and cross-functional team development, and executive coaching.
A systemic consultant is not a business consultant - our expertise is to co-create social architectures which enables our clients to achieve their set goals. Sustainably. Or to refine them.
How do you assign change consultancy or leadership development?
It all starts with getting to know one another. A shared understanding of the business challenge and a potential approach is as important as the human factor.
Trust is crucial right from the beginning, followed by clarity of roles, mandate and resonisbilities. Each chnage initiative is unique and so should be a strategic relevant leadership development.
We offer frameworks and demand your own thinking, then the canvas is free to co-create your specifc approach - content, social and time wise. Guided by our professional expertise.
Do you recommend to accompany strategy development?
Yes, very much. Hidden loyalities, power and group dynamics often shrink a truly inspirational co-creation of strategic work. In a VUCA world, strategic agility is key to sustainable growth.
In my experience, there are (at least) two traps for boards or exective teams.
First, the hand over of responsibility to single leaders or experts - "TOP Management told me to proceed accordingly and now I have to motivate my people and execute - otherwise I don't get promoted " - this approach ressambles not only a top down and single person driven approach but also neglects the power of participation, cross-functional and cross-hierarchical collaboration and combining strategic alignment with own functional ambitions and expertise.
Second, the struggle in and loss of necessary creativitiy and "presencing" (Otto Scharmer, M.I.T.) in endless meetings - without any guidance, inspiration or dynamic facilitation from professional consultants, offering an outside perspective.
How do you guarantee success?
With clarity and a shared understanding on all levels rigth from the beginning - goals, processes, responsibilities, collaboration, participation and regular evaluation. And with a strong mandate and trust to co-operate and collaborate.
The systemic approach is based on observation (collecting and sharing relevant data), co-creating or sharing hypothesis (no linear "if x, then y" assumptions), co-creating and executing most effective interventions (including attitude as well as actions) and evaluating success & impact - iterative and right from the start.
This - in its essence - agile approach rarely leads to blindspots, sugar coating or dead ends. As a Senior Consultant, Founder and systemic Consultant-Trainer and Lecturer (e.g. at Daimler, isb Wiesloch, University of Passau) my standards are known as rather high, demanding and worth the effort.
As the professional role of a "coach" is not standardized, I chose to train for and obtained a certificate at the German association dvct e.V. - built on my fundamental professional education as a systemic organisational consultant at isb Wiesloch, Germany and The internal consultant development program by PriceWaterHouse Coopers.
